DR. RAND PAUL RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT FROM OWENSBORO AREA SHERIFFS, RELEASES AD ON DEFENDING LAW ENFORCEMENT

LOUISVILLE, KY –
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Dr. Rand Paul received the bipartisan endorsement of six Sheriffs and retired Sheriffs in the Owensboro area. The group included retired Sheriff Keith Cain of Daviess County (D), current Sheriff Barry Smith of Daviess County (R), Sheriff Ken Frizzell of McLean County (R), Sheriff David Crafton of Henderson County (D), retired Sheriff Ed Brady (D), and Sheriff Tracy Beatty of Ohio County (R).

Following Dr. Paul’s endorsement celebration event in Owensboro today, he released his eighth campaign TV ad, “Back the Blue,” which features retired Sheriff Keith Cain of Daviess County (D) and focuses on Dr. Paul’s work of defending law enforcement, not defunding it.

As Sheriff Cain says in the ad
, “I spent decades keeping our community safe as Daviess County Sheriff. I’m a lifelong Democrat and I’m voting for Senator Rand Paul. As the radical defund the police movement threatens our community leaving you unprotected and giving our streets over to dangerous criminals, Rand Paul is standing with law enforcement. He has ensured that they have the tools and training to keep you safe. I’m proud to have Rand Paul as my senator.”

Dr. Paul has been a consistent advocate for the law enforcement community, and also recently received the endorsement of the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police. Dr. Paul also has gained support and the endorsements of over 20 other Sheriffs across the Commonwealth.

Those on the radical left continue to call for defunding the police while crime rises across the Commonwealth. Louisville ranks amongst some of our nation’s largest cities including Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Chicago for record high homicides and violent crime. Defunding the police isn’t the answer and most Kentuckians can agree that it isn’t very popular.

As a Senator for Kentucky, Dr. Paul has always stood for Kentucky values which includes standing against the Defund the Police movement, and any radical liberal attempt to tear down our country.
